We live by what we share
We’re a family of six, trading as The Living Field, and everything we offer comes from the life we live.
Our story
We’re English, and we spent our younger years working in corporate businesses. It paid the bills, but it kept us far from the natural world, and from companies that cared about it, or about us. So we made a change.
We now live mainly in Europe, in the north of Portugal, with roots and a presence in the UK. We chose to reconnect with nature, to slow down, to study and reflect, and to see how the very small connects to the very large. The Living Field is what grew out of that.
Life on the land
In northern Portugal we work with land that we’ve become custodians of, alongside partners who share the same aim: helping her come back to her full beauty. We don’t own her so much as look after her, and we learn from her every day.
That daily contact shapes everything we offer. We follow the natural cycles, the seasons, the moon and the stars, and we try to make more of what nature already gives us.
What we believe
It’s all connected, and it’s all alchemy. In the field, electroculture helps plants and soil work with the natural current between sky and earth, as efficiently as they can. In the body, careful, natural formulations do the same kind of work: supporting what’s already there.
Our electroculture equipment is handmade by Chris of The Fertile Current. We install it and use it ourselves, and we choose what we sell because we believe in it. We’d rather you understood how it works than took our word for it.
A family business, not a corporation
We’ve sat on the other side of the desk. We spent years inside big corporations, and we saw how far they can drift from the things that matter: the land, the people who work there, and the families who buy from them. So we left, and we built the opposite.
The Living Field is a family business, start to finish. When you write to us, one of us reads it and replies. The people behind the products are the same people you’re talking to, and we’re all in this together.
We choose to work with other small, like-minded people rather than large suppliers: partners who care about nature the way we do. We’d rather build real relationships with a few good people than chase scale with a lot of faceless ones.
We live this life ourselves. What we offer is what we believe in and use on our own land and in our own home.
Our chosen partners
We don’t work with big suppliers. Our partners are The Fertile Current, Cultivate Elevate and Elemental Wizdom, and each one is a small, family-run business that shares our values and the way we do things. Everything they make is crafted by hand, with care, to help us think, feel and evolve.
The Fertile Current
Chris Winters and his wife farm in Tennessee, and have worked with electroculture for over a decade. Chris builds our antennas by hand.
Cultivate Elevate
Organic mushroom extracts, shilajit and mineral tonics, curated from small organic farms around the world.
Elemental Wizdom
Handcrafted, small-batch formulations with no fillers, preservatives or stabilisers.
We chose them because we know the people behind the products, and we’d rather stand behind something made with love than something made at scale.
Still growing: our own ranges
The Living Field isn’t finished, and neither are we. Alongside our partners, we’re slowly growing our own ranges, crafted by us from what the land gives.
We’re learning as we go, one season at a time, and we’d love you to grow with us.
